THE DRAW |
| Pill draw is done on a hand held computer at the Atlanta
Motor Speedway. The computer has a random number program that runs continuously
until the enter key is pressed. Numbers from 1 to 40 are randomly generated -
non-stop - until the enter key is pressed. A random number is then displayed
and the program then continues to generate a random number until the enter key
is pressed again. It's that simple

| Issues with this
system: |
| Little Johnny was allowed to draw several times until
he got a number he wanted. I know - I saw it! |
| Since the computer is constantly generating a random number
between 1 and 40, duplicate numbers will be displayed. When this happens,
Little Johnny has to draw again. |
| |
| You got my number! |
| If a person breaks in line - draws before you and gets a
good draw - did he (or she) get your number? NOPE -
impossible! Unless you and that person both had your finger on the
button at the exact same time - that person got the number that was
generated at the exact split second he pressed the button - the
number was not just sitting there waiting on the key to be pressed. If
he had not been there you might have got that number - you might have gotten a
different number - but the person in front of you did not get YOUR number.
Remember random numbers are being rotated at an extremely fast speed - non-stop
- your number is displayed at the moment you press the key - that's your
number! |
| |
| Drawing early is better - no drawing later is
better
|
| Doesn't matter - there are 40 numbers being randomly
generated. The odds of getting a low number or a high number are the same - no
matter when you draw! The only odds that increase are the odds that you may
have to draw again since there are only 40 numbers to choose from. |

| This method is very simple - very fair and eliminates the
problems with the old fashion pill draw. It is like a roulette wheel - there
are a fixed amount of numbers and the wheel turns and turns until the ball
drops - some times it's good - sometimes it's bad! The ball drops when you
press the key - until that moment the wheel is turning! |
